Let me begin by saying I really love the bright colors chosen for this character, colors have always caught my eye in drawings and I love seeing what others do with colors within their pieces! Also the pose is a rather cute one, I really adore the expression. However there are a couple areas we will certainly need to look at. So let's begin!

Definition

Overall I see you've done pretty well on the anatomy itself and positioning. The expression is well and captivates a happy emotion on the characters face. However I think the biggest downfall of this piece is the digital painting technique. You see, when painting digitally or traditionally for that matter; it's important to still keep visual points on the subject in question to pull away from the flat feeling of work. While some artists do have a flat style of painting, their style is rather entwined with that style and they work off of that vantage point, however even they have a visual point of interest within the painted figure. Now the way to do this is to still hold a darker outline of the subject but not a thick line or extremely dark, and those lines will tend to blend within the drawing to give the definition to it. (i.e Fur) digital painting can be quite difficult to grasp and it can take years of practice to master. However it can be done though. So with that, while your anatomy is pretty much set on point the lack of definition in the body makes it appear rather flat and lacking important elements.

For instance the tufts of fur on this characters cheeks do not seem to be flowing fur. The definition points fixes that problem, it can be rather tedious to draw each individual strand of fur. Some artists have the patience or cheat sheets for it, however just adding a few extra lines that blend within the color can aid you in defining those points and having them appear much more flowing with the anatomy. As stated before I cannot really add too much to the anatomy itself, it appears really spot on just lacking the visual aspect of their positioning which one can get a basic grasp of but it still helps further.

Also another key element within digital painting is many other colors for shading, lighting, etc. It works with any blended lines and can add even further definition to the subject. Do not be afraid to play around with shading and lighting, they can be some of the more fun parts of drawing!

With that being said, definitely keep up the great work. I will happily help in the future if you'd like, in any way I can! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="35" height="17" alt=":huggle:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="576" title="Huggle!"/>
